we had a wonderful time photographing alison & david’s big day at The Foundry in LIC, NY. both the wedding ceremony and reception were held at The Foundry, which gave us the advantage of shooting in several different types of locations within walking distance. we were fortunate to find settings that were urban, classic new york and of course the ivy laden walls of the venue itself. we were so lucky as photographers to have a warm and inviting venue, a beautiful, sunny day, and such a stunning (and sweet) couple.
alison and dave, congratulations! we wish you all the best in your many years together!
hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend!
just couldn’t wait to post a little sneak peek at alison and david’s wedding we shot recently at The Foundry in LIC.
check back after the weekend for more of this beautiful wedding.
when we met sarah and matt in february, they were headed for their new life in atlanta. luckily we were able to find a sunny day to shoot some fun engagement portraits in Central Park before before they left ny. best wishes to you both for a beautiful wedding and a long and happy life together!
on saturday night, robert and i had the honor of photographing a live recording and concert of gospel music at the Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship near our home. shooting on stage as they performed, our souls were touched and we were inspired – deeply. the energy was highly charged and the music moved us into another world.
thank you, Pastor Richard, for inviting us to photograph this special event. we wish you all the best.
check back again for a slideshow with the music !
a note for photographers: the panoramic image was photographed with the new Fuji x100 which was given to robert and 3 other photographers in the country by Fuji to test. he is absolutely loving this camera (especially the panoramic feature and high iso output) and highly recommends it. his images will appear in ads for the camera in Popular Photography in september, and of course, here on the blog as well.
this is just a small sneak peek of our engagement session with lauren and andrew. we were lucky to find some little pockets of stillness in the middle of the crowds celebrating gay pride day, just after the announcement of marriage equality in new york. our original plan was to shoot at the high line where andrew proposed, but since that didn’t work, we improvised and made the best of it. i love the little surprises (and challenges) that pop up and keep me on my toes. congratulations lauren and andrew, and best wishes for your upcoming wedding!
